1st International Workshop on Communications Architectures and Protocols for the New Generation of Networks and Computing Systems (CAP-NGNCS'17)

Prague, Czech Republic, 3 - 6 September, 2017

The developments in the area of communication systems and wireless networks and their integration in different sectors successfully led to the emergence of the new generation of networks and computing systems (NGNCSs). The objectives of such networks usually depend on the type of the application and they are characterized mainly by the limited resources, the vulnerability of security and their high requirement in terms of quality communication. The NGNCSs are more and more used in sensitive areas such as e-santé, multimedia and the monitoring of the environment where the processed information is very important. In this case, it's necessary to take into account the communication parameters. In fact, a good management of these parameters ensures a reliable and an efficient service.

In this workshop, researchers are encouraged to submit papers focused on the design, development, analysis or optimization of communication architectures and protocols for better performance of the new generations of networks and computing systems in term of quality of services, energy efficiency, adaptation and self-organization, data reliability and timeliness of their transfer, security and protection of privacy. This workshop targets to gather researchers from academia and industrial sectors to present analytical research, simulations, practical results, position papers addressing the pros and cons of specific proposals, and advances in communication architectures and protocols in the context of NGNCSs. The topics suggested by the workshop can be discussed in term of concepts, state of the art, standards, protocols, solutions, deployments, implementations, running experiments and applications.
