3rd Workshop on Software Services: Semantic-based Software Services (WoSS'11)

The goal of the series of Workshops on Software Services (WoSS) is to present and discuss the recent significant developments in the field of software services.

WoSS intends to be an open forum for academics, practitioners, and vendors, allowing them to discuss the current trends and scientific and technological challenges, such as service quality assurance, adaptability, liability, interoperability, and automating service-oriented application construction and management.

The first three editions (September 2010, June 2011, and this one, upcoming in September 2011) are organized with the support of the FP7-ICT SPRERS project, with the aim to highlight the achievements of the on-going European collaborative projects subscribing to the FP7-ICT programme and the activities of the teams from new member states in software services.

The third edition is dedicated to Semantic-based Software Services and is supported also by the FP7-ICT mOSAIC project.

Paper Submission and Publication

  • Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop
  • Accepted and Presented paper will be published in the Conference Proceedings and included in the IEEE Xplore® database and indexed in the DBLP.
  • Authors should submit draft papers (as Postscript, PDF of MSWord file)
  • The total length of a paper should not exceed 8 pages (IEEE style). IEEE style templates are available here.
  • Extended versions of selected papers presented during the conference will be published as the March 2012 issue of the the Scalable Computing: Practice and Experience journal, as well as Special Issue of journal(s) to be announced later.
  • Organizers reserve right to move accepted papers between FedCSIS events.

Support for new member states participants from European community

  • Workshop articipants from New Member States, authors of accepted papers of the Workshop, are entitled to apply for the reimbursement of the travel, accommodation and conference fees.
  • The New Member States of EC are: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania,  Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia.
  • Applications should be send to the contact point of the workshop and should contain a curriculum vitae and a list of publications.
