1st International Workshop on Service-Oriented
Applications Development: Methodologies and Tools
(SOAD-MT'14)

Warsaw, Poland, 7 - 10 September, 2014

The discipline of Software Engineering has already established itself as a prime contributor towards sustenance and accelerated growth of infrastructural development process. It is further recognized that traditional software engineering approaches require extensions in the context of revolving computing paradigms like service oriented computing, cloud computing, grid computing etc. Service-oriented computing is considered today a key technology for the development of robust and high quality intelligent distributed applications. Moreover, service-oriented applications play an important role in enterprise computing including mobile enterprise systems and more recently in the field of cloud computing. While there is an agreement about the main principles for designing and developing such applications, methodologies and tools that support the development of service-oriented applications are still a subject of intensive research. The goal of this workshop is to address these gaps by strengthening the cross-fertilization of advances from software engineering methodologies and service oriented computing for effectively managing the ever-increasing complexity of applications development.
