Heuristics in Continuous Global Optimization

Wisla, Poland, October 15-17, 2007

The aim of the track is to bring together researchers in order to communicate issues connected with testing and comparison of new stochastic algorithms. We would like to focus on the stochastic algorithms for box-constrained problems of global optimization.

We invite contributions presenting the results of research in all aspects of heuristic search for the global minimum such as:

  • self-adaptation in evolutionary algorithms
  • hybrid algorithms, cooperation and competition in stochastic algorithms
  • self-adaptive differential evolution
  • particle swarm optimization
  • real-coded genetic algorithms
  • benchmarks for box-constrained problems
  • experimental comparison of algorithms, methods for assessment of reliability and convergence rate
  • application of heuristic search in real-world problems
